Change of brand name from “Maersk Sealand” to “Maersk Line”

As announced on 11 August 2005, A.P. Møller – Mærsk A/S has acquired Royal P&O Nedlloyd NV. Included in this acquisition are the shipping services, under the trade name of “P&O Nedlloyd”.

P&O Nedlloyd will withdraw from conferences and consortia in which it is a member.

Once the withdrawals, which will commence around February 12, 2006, are concluded, P&O Nedlloyd will cease to operate as a container line.

Effective February 12th 2006 the container liner shipping activities in the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group will continue under the new brand “Maersk Line” and transport documents will be issued under the name “Maersk Line”, i.e. “A.P. Møller – Mærsk A/S trading under the name Maersk Line”.

The terms and conditions of the transport documents remain identical to those of the transport documents issued today by A.P. Møller – Mærsk A/S trading under the name Maersk Sealand.

Where Letters of Credit are used, we recommend that you take into consideration that transport documents issued on or after February 12th 2006 will be issued under the name ”Maersk Line” i.e. “A.P. Moller – Maersk A/S trading under the name Maersk Line”.

Yours faithfully
