In order to implement the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, the Shanghai Municipal Development & Reform Commission, the Shanghai Municipal Finance Bureau, and the Shanghai Municipal Government on the Opinions on Shanghai’s Efforts of Encouraging Enterprises to Establish Global Trade-based Headquarters and further push for the building of a Shanghai international trade center, on March 27, 2018, the Shanghai Municipal Government hosted an award ceremony for trade-based headquarters. Wu Qing, Deputy Mayor of Shanghai, and Deputy Secretary General Ma Chunlei conferred awards to 28 trade-based headquarters. They will take the opportunity to build the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and offer policy support to trade-based headquarters in terms of talent introduction, exit and entry, the handling of permanent residence permits for foreigners, financial services and customs clearance. Departments in all districts will also roll out supporting policies for trade-based headquarters, seeking to offer them a better business environment.
